WOW

So I mean seriously I need a reality check.. I understand this is my second time with surgery and that I went through a revision... Not only that I was a lightweight going into the revision so I need to suck it up and be thankful for what I have accomplished..

There are many people out there that are just starting and hopefully didn't choose the lapband... and if they did it is/will work for them for their lifetime.

I am under 200lbs and losing 2-4lbs a week is a great thing when you only have 40lbs to lose..

Kauai in 4 months and my swimsuit here I come... Eugene Marathon 2012 here I come too! SUCK IT UP Brandy you dont have it as hard as you think..

Pep talk over :)

Water, protein, water, protein... Just keep on sipping and hoping for the best for my next weigh in on Tuesday.

3 Weeks Post op!

Well I am 3 weeks post op from my RNY revision and I am estatic. I have lost 24 pounds in 3 weeks. I am currently stalled though and I do not know why.... I haven't lost anything in about 4 days. I am going to up my water and protein intake.

I know I am getting plenty of exercise as I have been walking about 2 miles a day and I continuously clean house almost to the point of obsessive. Oh well whatever keeps me moving.

I get tired easily so I do what I can then take a few minute break then up and at em the first gust of energy I get.

We wiill see what week 4 brings!

2 Weeks Post op today!

Well, I am 2 weeks post op today from my RNY Revision. I feel amazing. I have lost 15lbs in the last 2 weeks. I am almost back to where I was before my band troubles.

I decided to use the 4 weeks that I have off work to my advantage. I understand I need to walk etc... But I have found that doing massive in depth house cleaning for me might be alot more beneficial in the caloric department as well as very productive around the house.

We have a 5 bedroom with alot of closets and many small spaces for people (teenage son) to shove things... ITS AMAZING what I find!

So the task the last 2 days was to take everything out of all cupboards and pantry and wash the cupboards inside and out and reorganize.. Tomorrow is day 2 of this project. It keeps me moving for hours :)

~Cheers to all!

Revision!

Well I dropped off the face of the earth for a while. So I will try to make this brief.

I lost 113lbs with my lapband in 3 years YAY!! So while I was almost at goal I began having a harder and harder time getting food down. Even though I hadnt had a fill in over a year the band was tightening more and more.

I went to Dr. Folek in January of 2011 to find that I had a small slip (any slip to me is huge) she said that we would take all the saline out and try in 30 days to reintroduce some of the saline.

Long story short she gave me the same song and dance every month for 4 months. I finally asked for a revision after gaining 25lbs back. She said that I was too young and active enough to continue down the path I was on with the band. She actually wanted to take it out and put another one in. She wasn't my original surgeon thankfully because I would never have chosen her. I was handed her at a center of excellence (or lack of excellence)

I went to Steve Terisigni in Coosbay for a 2nd opinion. He immediately saw me and my chart and decided on the RNY revision... so I guess I should start a new blog wtih a new name because in 2 weeks I will be RNY For health!! So nervous and excited.

7/12/2011 is my new anniversary :)
